Marienplatz

We are headed toward the glockenspiel which has shows (is that even the correct term?) at 11am, noon and 5pm.

It’s not even 9am yet so we have lots of time to kill today. We will plan to catch the early show before seeing other sites in Munich.

The train ride was a pretty one…mainly because of the clear blue skies.

Sunflower field
Carey possibly mapping out our day for us?

Greg and I didn’t exactly see eye to eye on where to exit the train. I wanted to hop off at Marienplatz but Greg wanted to go a stop farther and walk back. He won because I don’t have enough fight in me.

After getting off at Greg’s stop we came out on a street and was greeted by a ‘Coffee Fellows’ sign. Maybe it actually is a sign that I should re-caffeinate.

I decided to keep moving and resist the urge. We walked past some familiar sites from our previous trip here.

Now this area we know well. Just past the fountain on the right is the McDonald’ that I swear we stopped at multiple times for McToasty’s on our last trip. The building on the left has a Starbucks so basically everyone was happy.

Pic of Carey taking a pic
There’s our McDonald’s

We walked along the street where there are tons of shops and cafes. I feel like we have walked this street so many times it feels like familiar territory even though we have only been here a few days.

This guy looks fun
Oh! I want to shop for a drindl. It’s never too early to plan for Oktoberfest! For what year I have no idea.
Greg and I could coordinate!
Cute little outdoor cafe
It’s my TK MAXX!! This is where I bought my straightener to use over here because my US one would never work. There are people waiting in line for them to open at 10 because they clearly have all the best things!
Another cute cafe
I decided to walk into this pharmacy to see if they had anything good. Why do I feel the need to see what drugs I can obtain whenever I travel?
I def need some basica energies!
Lots of creams
My Benetton! I’m not quite ready to commit to any clothes purchases. It’s way too early for that with basically no space in my backpack.
I’m into this place
Greg would look so fire in this with his clarinet from high school.
More options for Greg that feel more cowboyish.
I swear this is like a version of fancy denim capris dirndl style. I wanna just show up at the next conference in this and see how people react.
Might as well check out this Church
Very pretty inside with organ music playing. It was very similar to the organ concert we paid for in Riga but this one was free (but also wasn’t live.)
Pipe organ

We have killed enough time to head over to the glockenspiel.

Longest day ever and it’s just getting started.
